This is the combination of Omega-3-fatty acid, B vitamins with Vitamin D3 that are the daily supplements, especially for women in pregnancy and lactating period. These nutrients are especially for fetal development and essential for its role in DNA; also helps to reduce or eliminate oxidative stress and lower homocysteine levels.
Pregnancy is associated with physiologic changes that result in increased plasma volume and red blood cells and decreased concentrations of circulating nutrient-binding proteins and micronutrients. In many developing countries, these physiologic changes can be aggravated by under nutrition, leading to micronutrient deficiency states, such as anemia, that can have disastrous consequences for both mothers and newborn infants. The demand for both energy and nutrients is increased during pregnancy. For well-nourished women, only a small amount of additional energy is required because the body adapts to the increased energy requirements and becomes more energy efficient through reduced physical activity and a lowered metabolic rate.
The development of baby in the womb is accompanied by extensive changes in the body and there is a considerable increase in the nutritional needs of the mother. There are certain nutrients that play a vital role in pregnancy and you must be particular about their intake. It is important to take vitamin supplements when you are pregnant. This is because all the nutrients required by your body and the growing baby may not be met from your diet alone.
Irrespective of your consuming healthy, balanced diet it is recommended that you take vitamin supplements before and after you conceive. This will ensure that you get all the necessary nutrients required to conceive and have a safe and healthy pregnancy.
In this combination L-Methylfolate (LMF) is primary active form of folic acid and with high bioavailability. LMF in prenatal supplement had significantly higher hemoglobin level at the end of the second trimester and at delivery and have a benefit of lower incidences of anemia.
Pyridoxal Phosphate is the active form of vitamin B6 is converted to pyridoxal-5-phosphate (coenzyme) in the body. As a coenzyme, vitamin B6 assists in an amazing variety of tasks - the creation of heme, the iron-containing component of red blood cells; making the hormone serotonin (the "feel good" hormone); processing carbohydrates for energy; keeping the nervous system working smoothly, and supporting hundreds of other jobs.
In pregnancy, Vitamin B6 helps the liver process high levels of estrogen and progesterone hormones more efficiently and balance sodium levels, leading to a reduction in symptoms such as water retention. In one study, supplemental vitamin B6 helped reduce the breast tenderness, headaches and weight gain associated with water retention. Vitamin B6 reduces the risk of heart attacks up to 70%, significantly reduces morning sickness in pregnancy, and helps prevent complications of diabetes (in addition to burning feet).
Methylcobalamin belong to the class of cobalamin derivatives which is essential for Prenatal & Postnatal support.
DHA is essential for the proper development and functionality of the brain, eyes, and heart, throughout the lifecycle.
D3 increases and facilitates intestinal calcium absorption, effective in contributing towards building and maintaining healthy bones, supports immunity, dental health, heart health, and muscle function.
The ratio of Methylcobalamin, Pyridoxal-5-phosphate and L-Methylfolate helps in bringing down the plasma level of homocysteine, the major risk factor for Atherosclerosis. Thus this combination also reduces the major risk factors for Atherosclerosis.
A healthy diet during pregnancy should contain the right balance and combination of nutrients. Right nutrients are important for your baby's growth and development that is dependent on your diet. A compromising diet during pregnancy can lead to weight gain, multiple nutritional deficiencies and pregnancy complications in mothers, which babies could be born with weight and congenital malformations. So these nutrients in pregnant or breastfeeding are important for your baby's growth and development.

    About Composition

    Omega-3-Fatty Acid (DHA):

DHA is found throughout the body, but is most abundant in the brain, eyes and heart. In fact, DHA represents about 97 percent of all omega-3 fats in the brain and 93 percent of all omega-3 fats in the retina in the eye. DHA accumulates both prenatally and postnatally in infant brain, eye and nervous system tissue. Developing infants cannot efficiently produce their own DHA and must obtain this vital nutrient through the placenta during pregnancy and from breast milk following birth. Increasing DHA in the diet during pregnancy and nursing significantly enhances the level of DHA available to the unborn baby and infant. DHA is important for optimal infant brain and eye development.DHA is important throughout pregnancy, particularly in the third trimester when major brain growth occurs.Increasing DHA intake during pregnancy and nursing significantly enhances the level of DHA available to the foetus and infant. Certain studies have shown that supplementation of DHA in the mother's diet improves infant developmental outcomes, such as:
    ⇛ eye-hand coordination
    ⇛ motor skills
    ⇛ attention span

DHA also provides important maternal benefits and helps lengthen gestation length and support the mental state of the mother. DHA provides key vitamins and minerals for daily nutritional support before and during pregnancy.

    L-Methylfolate Calcium:

L-Methylfolate calcium is a substantially diastereoisomerically pure source of L-methylfolate containing not more than 1% D-form and it is the primary biologically active isomer of folic acid and the primary form of folate in circulation. L-methylfolate crosses the blood-brain barrier for use in the CNS. It exerts its action by enhancing synthesis of monoamine neurotransmitters, and has been categorized as a "trimonoamine modulator" because it is necessary for serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine synthesis. It is a good form which is all well absorbed.
Deficiencies of dietary folic acid can lead to abnormalities in the mother (anemia, peripheral neuropathy) and the fetus (congenital abnormalities). Dietary supplementation with folic acid around the time of conception has been known to reduce the risk of neural tube defects (NTDs).Folic acid is also thought to reduce the risk of preterm birth and congenital heart disease. It is always better to take the bioavailable form of any nutrient which guarantees that adequate amounts are being provided. About 40% to 60% of the population has genetic polymorphisms that impair the conversion of supplemental folic acid to its active form, L-methylfolate.

    Pyridoxal-5-Phosphate:

Pyridoxal-5-phosphate is the active form of Vitamin B6. Vitamin B6 is found in one of three forms: pyridoxine hydrochloride, pyridoxal, or pyridoxamine. Inside the body, these forms of B6 have to be converted by the liver to the active form the body needs - P5P. It is involved in many areas of your metabolism, from the formation of hemoglobin that carries oxygen in your blood, to the working of your genes, to the release of stored-up glucose in your muscles, and many other important actions including the formation of the biologic chemicals that nerves use to "talk to one another." And like vitamin B12 it is also involved in the formation of the covering for nerves - the myelin sheath, this is one way in which it is directly supports nerve health.
Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6) is used to treat nausea and vomiting in early pregnancy. Pyridoxine Phosphate (PLP) converts levodopa into dopamine. PLP then facilitates the conversion of the excitatory neurotransmitter glutamate to the inhibitory neurotransmitter GABA, and allows SAM to be decarboxylated to form propylamine, which is a precursor to polyamines.
P5P is the only form of B6 that the fetus and newborn baby can use. In premature babies, who are more susceptible than full-term babies to SIDS, the use of the pyridoxine form of B6 can result in irreversible central nervous system damage. And lack of P5P can predispose a surviving premature infant to atherosclerosis in later life. In addition, the fact that B6 benefits some persons with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, and not others, we think may well be traced to the person's ability or inability to make P5P from pyridoxine.
It's the P5P our bodies really need to break down and use fats, proteins, and carbohydrates, to make red blood cells and antibodies, to help the digestive and nervous systems function, and to maintain healthy skin.

    Methylcobalamin:

Methylcobalamin, the active form of vitamin B12, is used to support brain health, energy and healthy homocysteine levels. It is commonly used to prevent signs of a Vitamin B12 deficiency. Methylcobalamin creates two major effects in the brain which are responsible for many of its neuro-protective, longevity enhancing benefits.
First, the compound eliminates excessive levels of homocysteine in the brain. This substance is often cited as the leading cause of vascular degeneration in the brain.
Next, Methylcobalamin improves the health and function of nerves in the brain. It can rebuild damaged nerves and contributes to the maintenance of function that is normally decayed during the aging process.
It helps the nerve cells to function properly and even helps the damaged nerve cells to recover. It helps in the conversion of proteins and fats into energy. It is involved in the production of haemoglobin. It helps in the reduction of the level of homocysteine. It also contributes in the development and production of red blood cells.
Mecobalamin is helpful in the cases of both pre-natal and post-natal weakness, along with in neurological malfunctions and prevent neural tube defects.

    Vitamin D3:

Vitamin D3 is essential towards building & maintaining healthy bones and plays an important role in brain health, heart protection, muscle strength and autoimmune disorders. D3 increases and facilitates intestinal calcium absorption, effective in contributing towards building and maintaining healthy bones, supports immunity, dental health, heart health, and muscle function. Vitamin D helps to regulate the levels of calcium and phosphate in your body. You need calcium and phosphate to keep your bones and teeth healthy. Vitamin D is important for general good health, and researchers now are discovering that vitamin D may be important for many other reasons outside of good bone health. Called the "sunshine vitamin," vitamin D is vital to strong bones and teeth and a healthy immune system.
